Shipping & Delivery Policies

The following is our Official Shipping & Delivery Policies for each of the shipping options offered during checkout.  Unlike most e-tailers, we at Robbies Billiards will be up-front about all of our shipping procedures and costs.  We guarantee that we will respond to e-mails sent to robbies.sales@gmail.com within 24 hours if you have any questions.

Free Pickup Williamsport Showroom

Items that offer this option at checkout are always in-stock (unless otherwise noted) at our Maryland Location.  Choose this option if you plan on picking up your purchase at our Williamsport Maryland Showroom and Warehouse during regular store hours.  Our Showroom and Warehouse are located at:

Free Pickup Winchester Showroom

Items that offer this option at checkout are available for pickup at our Winchester Virginia Showroom.  Choose this option if you plan on picking up your purchase at our Winchester Virginia Showroom during regular store hours.  Many large items like home bars, bar stools, and pool tables must be transported from our Williamsport MD Warehouse to the Winchester Showroom for Pickup, so please allow 48 hours on large items or e-mail to robbies.sales@gmail.com or call 800-488-1143 to specify a time and date.  Our Winchester Showroom is located at:

Free Local White Glove Delivery

Many of the items offered on our on-line store are too large to ship, prohibitively expensive to ship, or Robbies is limited to delivery within a specific geographic region.  These items will have the "Free Local White Glove Delivery Option" at Checkout.  We recommend that if you live more than 1 hour from either of our Showrooms you e-mail robbies.sales@gmail.com or call 800-488-1143 to verify that you are within our allowable white glove delivery area (Deep Creek Lake Maryland for example).  Even if you are outside our regular area, we may offer a separate mileage charge to perform the delivery. 

White Glove Deliveries are booked using our In-House Delivery and Installation Technicians and we will use our Robbies Billiards Delivery Trucks.  Delivery is available to be scheduled 5 to 10 days from the time of purchase, depending on distance and time of year.  Typical delivery times are between 9am and 5 pm Monday Through Friday, but Weekends and Odd-Hours Jobs are available at an additional fee.  After you make your purchase and receive a confirmation email, the Robbies Billiards Service Department will contact you within 5 business days to set up a Delivery Appointment.  Please provide your best phone number (usually a cell phone) at checkout so we can get in touch quickly to set up the appointment and go over the delivery procedure.

There is a $50 fee for re-delivery if you are not there for the Appointment or we are unable to access the delivery address due to construction, lack of road access, or if you cancel less than 48 hours prior to the Appointment.  We deliver using 16' Box Trucks which require Gravel or Pavement to the front of the house.  We will navigate to the back of the house if there is a reasonable path and we will take the items up or down stairs at no additional charge if the items will fit.  If you have to return an item because it will not fit up or down stairs we will charge you the $50 delivery fee as well as a restocking fee on the item, so please check your measurements before purchasing large items!

FedEx Ground, 3 Day, and Overnight Shipping

Most items under 150 pounds offer FedEx shipping options at checkout.  Approximate time frame for delivery is noted when you chose a method.  Orders will be processed within 24 hours of being submitted, so if you want an item on Friday and you chose "Overnight Shipping", you would have to order the item by pm on Wednesday.  FedEx tracking numbers are available if you email to robbies.sales@gmail.com and request them.  Items shipped via FedEx include shipping insurance so any visible damage to shipped items must be noted when FedEx Delivers the items.  Any item over $200 includes Shipping Insurance and Requires an Adult Signature at the time of Delivery (Someone Needs to Sign for Large or Expensive Items or there may be additional Shipping Charges from FedEx).  It is that Adults Job to note any obvious damage to the packaging.  In the event of shipping damage, immediately report the nature of the problem to robbies.sales@gmail.com or call 800-488-1143.  If you do not report shipping damage within 48 hours of delivery you will be charged for any replacement parts.  We do not ship to PO Boxes. 

Free Shipping Included

Some items will not offer any shipping options because in the item description it included "Free Shipping".  Usually this is the same as FedEx Ground and the same 6 day average for delivery applies.  Some items like Theater Seating, however, need to be shipped via Freight Carrier Due to the size or weight of the boxes.  Berkline Theater Seats for example are usually Drop Shipped Directly from the Factory to your home in an 18 wheel truck.  The freight company will be instructed to contact you 24 hours before delivery and you or another responsible adult will need to be there in person.  If you purchase an item that requires Freight Delivery we will always give you the option of having the item delivered to our Warehouse in Williamsport for Free Pickup, or you can negotiate a "Delivery Charge" or "White Glove Delivery" on these items if it is not already offered in the item description. 

If you take direct delivery from the factory, your home must be 18 wheel accessible or there will be additional fees.  You are responsible for unloading all items from the back of the truck (typically you will need two people or you might be able to get the driver to help, but don't count on it).  Upon unloading the items, you must inspect all boxes and their contents for shipping damage and note it on the driver's bill of lading.  Save all packing materials and boxes.  Don't be afraid to keep the driver waiting for a little while to do this, it is very important.  Immediately report any problems to Robbies via email to robbies.sales@gmail.com or call 800-488-1143.  If you do not note any shipping damage at the time of delivery we most likely will not be able to fix the problem without further expense to you and delays.  This is exactly the same delivery procedure required by every single Berkline Internet Dealer in the country, as well as most furniture "drop shippers" who ship via FedEx freight, Yellow Freight, Estes Trucking, ec.  We are just being honest about what to expect and how to make it go smoothly.

Additional Notes on Delivery and Shipping

Please use common sense when ordering large or bulky items for drop shipping.  If you are in poor health, unable to ever take off work, or are just small and frail, do not order 50+ pound Theater Seats to be drop shipped.  We want to work with you and make this as easy as possible, so White Glove Delivery by Robbies Techs on your schedule is always an option.  Please email or call to discuss your options and don't be surprised when we contact you after you place your order and ask all of the questions presented in this detailed shipping and delivery policy.
