August 2011 News and Notes

Summer is half over so it's time for another update on whats been going on at Robbies Billiards lately.  The biggest news is that "Billiards Digest", the largest monthly magazine in the US for Billiard Enthusiasts and players, has voted www.robbiesbilliards.com as the best overall Retailer Webpage in the Country!  This is a huge honor and exciting because we put so much time and effort into creating a fun and easy to use web page for our customers past and present.  This sets the bar pretty high, so lets hope we can keep the web site updates coming.  Check them out online at http://billiardsdigest.com/new_current_issue/aug_11/netindex.php and read about the rest of the best the web has to offer.

In other news, Robbies was happy to once again sponsor the "Williamsport MD Bike Nite" charity ride to benefit local causes in Washington county.  Our donation was modest but this is one of the best ways to support local charities and help generate a little fun for the participants with gift certificates and door prizes. 

We are also glad to support the local Church of the Brethren 9th annual Benefit Auction with gift certificates and door prizes.  This local Maryland Church auction supports church activities and local charitable causes thoughout the year.  Check out their web site at www.broadfordingcobfellowship.com.
